About Our Town
Our Town is a Pulitzer Prize winning play by the classic American playwright Thornton Wilder. It takes you through the everyday lives, loves, celebrations and losses for the Gibbs and Webb families as well as other townspeople in Grover’s Corner, New Hampshire. Grover’s Corners is the perfect picture of an American town before urbanization – automobiles are a novelty, everyone is up in each other’s business, and milk is still delivered fresh every morning.

About 5 Women Wearing the Same Dress
The creator of True Blood and Six Feet Under gave us this wonderful story in 1993. During an ostentatious wedding reception at a Knoxville estate, five identically clad bridesmaids hide out in an upstairs bedroom. Each has her own reason to avoid the proceedings below. These five very different women joyously discover a common bond in this wickedly funny, irreverent, and touching celebration of a woman’s spirit.
This show is recommended for Teens & Adults for Language, Adult themes. Produced by special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service.

5 Tips to a Nail Your Audition
If you’ve never auditioned before, it can be a bit intimidating. But, you can do it! Auditioning is a lot like interviewing for a job. The more you do it, the easier it gets.
Here are a few things you can do ahead of time to make you more comfortable and show the casting committee that you are serious about wanting to participate.
- Get a copy of the script. Even if it’s a show you know, it never hurts to re-read the material and become familiar with it as the audition approaches.
- Know in your mind if you are willing to accept any part offered to you, or if you are only willing to take certain roles. There’s nothing wrong with specifying a particular role, but know that you might be limiting yourself.
- Remember that you might be reading a part in which you aren’t interested. Some directors have everyone read the same two or three scenes, regardless of the parts available. (Another reason to be familiar with the entire script, not just the parts you want.)
- A “cold” reading means the director will have you read from the show for which you are auditioning. If you are asked to bring prepared material, contact the director and find out what he/she is looking for in the audition.
- Be willing to work behind the scenes if you are not cast. This is especially helpful if you have moved to a new area or are new to theater. It will give you a true respect for all the hard work that goes on behind the scenes if you roll up your sleeves and volunteer!
