Each year, the final weekend of April, Big Spring Park buzzes with creative energy as Panoply Arts Festival brings downtown Huntsville to life with a weekend of art, music and more!
Whether you want to add to your art collection, get creative with your kids, get a taste of North Alabama’s music scene, or just see what it’s all about – here’s how to experience Panoply no matter who you are!
The Live Music Fan
Panoply Arts Festival is known for its family-friendly activities and bustling Art Marketplace, but with nearly 40 live music performances throughout the weekend, it’s the largest showcase of Huntsville (and North Alabama’s) growing music scene.
Panoply features three stages of live music – ranging from R&B to Rock n’ Roll, pop, indie rock, jazz, blues, and soul.
Headliners include Nashville’s The New Respects (high energy throwback rock and soul), Louisiana’s Marc Broussard (“bayou soul” artist known for his “signature blues-influenced howl with doses of gospel and country”), and Florence, Alabama’s own Grammy award-winning John Paul White.
Featured local performers include Huntsville’s Josh and Judy Allison, who will bring the full band together ahead of Broussard’s performance on Saturday, Victoria Jones, Decatur’s The Lamont Lander’s Band, and of course local blues legend, Microwave Dave. Fan favorites Remy Neal and Chelsea, Who?, Alex Banks II, and Carver Commodore return to the festival, along with a lineup of artists new to the festival, including DMR Soul, LaFrancis Vibes, Deni, The Sofia Goodman Group, R&B Vibes, and more.
You’re encouraged to bring a blanket or a chair, grab food or a beer from the Craft Beer tent, and settle in for three days of live music in the heart of Huntsville!

The Frenzied Family
Panoply Arts Festival provides the perfect way to inspire and entertain the entire family! This year’s festival will feature STEAM Street activities that celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Lunar Landing. These hands-on art activities will offer festival goers a chance to create their own mission patch, launch rockets, learn about trajectory in space, and more.
Bicentennial Village will celebrate Alabama’s 200th birthday through historical art activities. Festivalgoers can create a box city replica of downtown Huntsville in the 1800s, celebrate Huntsville’s most famous bovine, Lily Flagg, create their own piece of art inside the Huntsville Museum of Art Academy, and more.
Kids 12 and under are admitted to the festival for FREE. So buckle up the kids and enjoy some funnel cake, creative activities, and entertainment with the whole family.
