“My love is a prelude that never dies, a Prelude to a Kiss”

Rita and Peter are young, fun newlyweds after a whirlwind romance. While at their reception, a mysterious Old Man comes up and offers well wishes to the Bride and Her Groom and asks for one thing in return- to kiss the Bride. She obliges and what happens after sends Peter on a tailspin to have his love return to her in both mind AND body.
A Kiss
This is the story of Prelude to a Kiss, Theatre Huntsville‘s latest production, which opening this Friday January 11th at the Von Braun Center Playhouse. You may recognize this Craig Lucs play from the 1992 movie starring Alec Baldwin and Meg Ryan.
If you’re looking for a big, splashy musical, this is probably not your show, as director Sam Marsh explains.
“There’s a lot to be said for big, flashy, grand productions – and there’s also a lot to be said for a simple kiss.”

Cast and Crew
Starring Shawn Buis, Erin Johnson and Stan Evans (as Peter, Rita and the Mysterious Old Man, respectively) their chemistry is something that couldn’t even be created.
“It was the perfect fit right from the beginning with these 3 anchoring the show,” said Samantha Musto, the show’s Assistant Director.
The cast is rounded out with Jeremy Woods, Gaylen Pugh, John Seigh, Ronni Bell, David Nixon, Chris Bell, Phil Schrimsher, Kevin O’Brien and Caroline Prince.
With Technical Direction from Karl King, Stage Management from Penny Ewing, Costumes from Pam Anders and Props from Marilyn West and Nicole Shelton, the show will also be a joy to look at.
