Galaxy of Lights: Celebrating 25 Years!
Location: Huntsville Botanical Garden
Galaxy of Lights is a holiday light extravaganza featuring larger-than-life animated light displays. Galaxy of Lights is the perfect holiday treat for the young and young-at-heart.

Skating in the Park
Location: Big Spring Park at the Huntsville Museum of Art
Dates: November 20 – January 10
There are many wonderful wintertime traditions in the Rocket City, but if you’re looking for a unique holiday experience, you’ll find it by Skating in the Park.
COVID-19 Policies:
- Masks required for patrons and employees on and off the ice unless enjoying concessions
- Limit of 125 skaters on the ice at a time
- Social distancing practiced when possible
- All surfaces will be disinfected every 90 minutes
- All skates and scooters will be disinfected when returned

Tinsel Trail
Location: Big Spring Park
Dates: Friday, Nov. 27 – Jan. 8
Cost: FREE
Tinsel Trail is a display of live Christmas trees in Downtown Huntsville’s Big Spring Park. An anticipated 300 trees will decorate the park for the holiday season. Intended to promote community, each tree is sponsored and decorated by a local corporation, group, or family.
7th Annual Madison Station Polar Express Christmas on Main
Location: Historic Downtown Madison
Dates: Nov. 28 – Jan. 2
Cost: FREE
Please join the City of Madison and the Madison Station Historic Preservation Society for the 2020 Holiday Season. Trees will be displayed along Main Street in beautiful, historic Downtown Madison. The official lighting of all trees will take place virtually on Sunday, November 29.
NEW Rocket City Christmas Spectacular
Location: Toyota Field
Dates: Nove. 13 – Jan. 3 | 5 pm- 9 pm
Cost: $25 per car load
Hundreds of thousands of lights will be on display for all to safely enjoy this holiday season. Visitors will be able to simply tune into their vehicle’s radio and experience a spectacular synchronization of music and lights. Tickets can be purchased online in advance or on the day of the event.
Inside the ballpark will feature numerous holiday activities for all ages, including hot chocolate stations, cookie decorating, s’mores making, character visits, shopping, and more!
CDC and Madison County health guidelines will be followed at the Rocket City Christmas Spectacular.
Burritt on the Mountain Candlelight Christmas

Dates: December 4 and 5
Times: 5:00 – 9:00 pm
Cost: $40-50 per car load, tickets must be purchased in advance.
Kris Kringle is working from home right now, staying healthy for the big night, but you can still share your Christmas wishes with him in the exclusive Santa’s Super Special mailbox!
There will be music in four of Burritt’s largest venues for safety. Activities for the kids and goodies for all will be spread throughout the site to ensure plenty of space for social distancing.
To ensure that every visitor is guaranteed admission and a parking space, and therefore can enjoy the evening to the fullest, there will be limited tickets for each night. All tickets will be sold in advance.
NEW Bridge Street Holiday Light Show
Date and Time: Friday, Saturday, & Sundays Nov. 27 – Dec. 20
Showtimes: 7 pm and 8 pm
Location: Bridgestreet Town Center
Cost: Free
New this holiday season, a holiday-themed laser light show. Light shows will occur in two separate locations – the bridge near the Belk Courtyard and the Christmas tree near Cinemark.
10 Nights of Santa
- Date and Time: Dec. 13 – 23
- Location: EarlyWorks Museum
- Cost: $10 per person, $8 for members
- Event Information
The 2020 edition of Santa’s Village will be called Ten Nights of Santa. The event will be held indoors at the EarlyWorks Children’s Museum. The new location will allow organizers to uphold safe capacity limits, social distancing, and sanitizing protocols. The reimagined program will offer several “safety inspired” twists, including Santa visiting with children while being protected by “Santa’s Magic Snow Globe.”
A limited number of tickets for the 10-night event will be offered online and will adhere to EarlyWorks and ADPH safety protocols. This will be a timed entry, limited capacity event to ensure the safety of all involved.
