Huntsville has a number of beautifully illuminated landmarks during the holiday season. So grab a peppermint latte, some hot cocoa for the kids, and load up the station wagon a la Clark W. Griswold and enjoy the show. There’s nothing like looking at holiday lights to get into the spirit of the season.

Tinsel Trail information
The Tinsel Trail is a display of live Christmas trees in downtown Huntsville during the holidays and one of our favorite places to see Huntsville Christmas lights.
This year will be the biggest Tinsel Trail yet, with over 200 trees decorating Big Spring Park for the holiday season. And with free events happening at the Trail (Tacky Sweater Party anyone?) we will be enjoying Tinsel Trail more than once.

All ages will delight in visiting Santa in his workshop at The North Pole!
Step inside The North Pole Express, Santa’s real-life train car, to create your very own ornament!
Write a letter to Santa at The North Pole Post Office! See Santa’s Magic Garden light up The North Pole with twinkling lights and your favorite holiday songs! Snow shows, cookies, and musical entertainment all add to the fun at the Village Santa Calls Home!

Twickenham’s Spirit of Christmas Past information
Take a nostalgic walk down luminary lit streets and avenues in Huntsville’s historic Twickenham District. The luminaries coincide with the Spirit of Christmas Part Home tour where you can tour private residences, the Weeden House Museum and other historic buildings ornately decorated for the holidays.

“We love Christmas first of all because it is a time to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ and along with that comes the festive cheer, the family time, all the edible goodies, and much, much more. Come and see our lights while you are out “light seeing” during the Christmas season! We try to keep our lights on everyday between 5 and 10 pm. If for some reason, we are not at home to turn them on, we will try to post on Facebook. We hope that they may get you just a little more in the Christmas spirit!!”

Galaxy of Lights information
Galaxy of Lights is a Huntsville holiday light extravaganza featuring larger-than-life animated light displays. See Santa soaring over a delightful winter village. Nursery rhyme characters dance and frolic among traditional scenes of the season. And, our favorite, experience the magic of the twinkling icicle forest. Galaxy of Lights is the perfect holiday treat for the young and young-at-heart.

“We have been decorating our home for over 10 years now. The display includes over 100,000 lights and nearly 50 Inflatables! Each year we continue to add to the display and offer something new. Our Display is open Sunday-Thursday 5:00-10:00 and Friday and Saturday 5:00-11:00. These times have been created based off our request from our neighbors. We honor those request so that will we are able to share our light with you and your families.”
