It’s Thursday… Here are our picks for 5 Things to do This Weekend!
FREE Tinsel Trail Farewell Party – Cancelled due to weather
@ Big Spring Park East, Friday, 5 – 9 pm
That’s a wrap as we celebrate the end of Tinsel Trail 2014. This special party is to honor Tinsel Trail’s tree sponsors and decorators. There will be rockin’ music and food trucks. Sponsors will begin to un-decorate their trees.
Note: Though the event is cancelled, Tinsel Trail trees will stand through the weekend if you haven’t yet had a chance to visit.
UAH Chargers Hockey
@ Von Braun Center Propst Arena, Friday and Saturday @ 7 pm
The Chargers take on Anchorage Alaska for 2 games. Tickets are $6 – $11 and kids 12 and under get in free.
FREE Huntsville Symphony Orchestra presents Opus Tadpole: Violin
@ Madison Public Library, Saturday, 10:30 am
Children (and their parents) have fun discovering the answers to musical questions and more during twenty-minute Opus Tadpole presentations, entertaining and interactive ways for our youngest listeners to learn about the instru- ments of the orchestra. Grownups may also learn a thing or two!
Skating in the Park (now extended through January 19)
@Big Spring Park, Sunday, noon – 8 pm
We thought Skating in the Park was coming to an end on Sunday, but it’s now been extended through January 19. Either way, this is the last Sunday of Christmas vacation and still a great time to go ice skating in Big Spring Park!
