Huntsville Alabama Appetizers Tuna Poke Tacos

Have you ever gone to a restaurant just for the starters? Appetizers are meant to stimulate your appetite, so you’ll be even hungrier for your main meal. We know a few places in Huntsville where the appetizers are so good – you could order double and skip the main meal!

Our Favorite Huntsville Appetizers

We don’t always order appetizers, but when we do they’re from one of these five spots in Huntsville, and they are delicious!

#1 – Ahi Tuna Poke Tacos

We’ve had several appetizers from Purveyor since their opening, but the Ahi Tuna Poke Tacos are hands down our favorite.

If our high praise isn’t convincing enough for you, they were recently featured in 44 More Dishes to Eat in Alabama Before You Die.

#2 – Fried Green Tomatoes

Living in the south, it’s not a rarity to find fried green tomatoes on a menu. Commerce Kitchen kicks this classic up a notch with pimento cheese and a delectable house smoked aioli.

#3 – Mushroom Flatbread

This dish is anything but ordinary. The Humble Heart Chevre steals the show in addition to mozzarella, roasted mushrooms, and sage all on top of house-made flatbread.

There is enough to serve four people or two really hungry people (us).

Where to find it: 1892 East

#4 – Deviled Eggs

Honestly, so many things from Domaine South’s beautifully and carefully curated menu could be featured on this list. We decided we had to pick their deviled eggs. The candied jalapenos on top are the icing on the cake!

#5 – Spring Rolls

The Thai spring rolls from Thai Garden are the perfect way to start your meal. They come filled with ground pork or vegetables, glass noodles, and green onions seasoned with Thai spices.

Thai Garden serves them with their house sweet and sour sauce. These are so good we could make a meal out of them.
