5 Fun Huntsville Inspired Costumes for Halloween

5 Fun Huntsville Inspired Halloween CostumesWith Halloween coming up, it is time to get a jump on costumes—or more specifically Huntsville inspired costumes!

This year it could quite possibly be a crisp night, so keep that in mind when preparing costumes and layers.

Below are several fun ideas to get you going on your costume.

5 Fun Huntsville Inspired Costumes for Halloween

#1 Space Launch System (SLS) Rocketrocket costume

Being the SLS Rocket would truly represent Huntsville, as it is The Rocket City after all.

This idea could take some planning or it could be a quick thrown together costume by painting a couple of old boxes and duck-taping them together.

#2 DNA Strand

Create your own strand of DNA to show your unique creativity and love for science (waving at you Hudson Alpha).

This could be something like a strand of water DNA and make the DNA strand themed around water.

#3 The Planet Marsmars

Time to unlock those paper-mache skills!

Not only would this be a fun for yourself, but your friends who are planning to orbit parties with you, could join in and be a celestial body too.

#4 Baseball Player

Yes, Huntsville did have a baseball team at one time—The Huntsville Stars. Unfortunately, the team is no longer in Huntsville, but it would still be an easy, classic, Huntsville inspired Halloween costume!

Too soon?

#5 Big Spring Duckduck costume

Going to Big Spring Park is a summer night and fall favorite of mine. Watching the ducks roaming around and seeing the gorgeous lights on the water and rocks is so relaxing.

Being a duck for Halloween would be fun and cute!

A fantastic way to find inspiration for your Halloween costume is to think about all the fun Huntsville things you enjoy, and then create a rad costume out of something you love!

About Erin Green

I am 21 years old, currently completing my senior year in Writing for Public Relations at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. Though not originally from Huntsville, I have grown close to the city. My pup and I enjoy the many walking trails and parks located around town and there are always so many exciting things to do. I hope you love this beautiful city as much as I do!
