From food truck festivals to community parties on the Square, every inch of historic Downtown Huntsville seems to vibrate with a new excitement.
That excitement has trickled down to the charming Five Points area, where a new art collective called The ARTery had their grand opening last month with over 100 attendees.
Interesting in Five Points
ARTery owners Christy and Bryan Williams head up the business themselves, where local artists can rent booths to display and sell their artwork.
Everything from clothes, to jewelry, to photography is sold by artists out of their storefront, and it’s quickly becoming one of the most interesting shops in Five Points.
It was a passion for the local art of Huntsville that led Bryan Williams, himself a photographer, to open The ARTery in Five Points.
“A lot of artists here in Huntsville work 40 hours a week and then do amazing art on the weekend and evenings.” said Brian.
“We wanted to provide them a space where they could work on and sell their art“.
At The ARTery the defining point is how much the owners care about the artists selling in their shop.
It is obvious in the way Bryan’s eyes light up when he’s talking about the art and the different people who sell through them.
The ARTery will host classes offered by some of the artists in their shop starting soon.
For more information about the ARTery, visit them online or on Facebook.
