Well, well, well, people, Reporter Donna here. It looks like it’s Christmas time again. I know, I know, it’s just past Thanksgiving, but that doesn’t matter to Fantasy Playhouse Children’s Theater. They’ve already have been rehearsing their Season Special, the annual family tradition A Christmas Carol. It’s a fantastic show about a man a man named Scrooge who hates Christmas, and how his meeting with the 3 ghosts of Past, Present, and Future teach him to love Christmas again.
Behind the Scenes
I interviewed three people who are in the 2013 A Christmas Carol presented by Fantasy Playhouse: Nikki Morgan, her brother Hudson Seigh, and their grandfather Grumpy, to get the scoop on what they think.
A Christmas Carol Interview #1: Nikki Morgan
My 1st interview subject is Nikki, playing a Shopper in this year’s production.
Q: What is it like to be in A Christmas Carol presented by Fantasy Playhouse?
It’s fun and entertaining. I love being with my extended Fantasy family!
Q: What is your favorite part of being in A Christmas Carol presented by Fantasy Playhouse?
Being on stage in front of people.
Q: How many times have you been in A Christmas Carol presented by Fantasy Playhouse?
This is my third time to be in A Christmas Carol. The first time I played Want, then I played the Mistletoe Vendor, and this year I’m playing a Shopper.
Q: What is your opinion of A Christmas Carol presented by Fantasy Playhouse?
Well, I would have to say it’s exquisite, with all the people dancing around and spinning, lots of spinning. It’ll make you dizzy!
Q: Well then Nikki, last question, who else in your family is participating?
My Grandmother NayNay is doing the lobby board, you know, the place with all of the photos of the cast. My Grandfather Grumpy is Mr. Danbury, and my brother Hudson is an urchin.
A Christmas Carol Interview #2: Hudson Seigh
Well, people, when you come to see the play, you can count how many times Nikki spins. Next, I’ll interview her brother Hudson.
Q: What do you think of the play, A Christmas Carol presented by Fantasy Playhouse?
I am an urchin and I’m having great fun.
Q: What’s fun about it?
I like being a Secret Pal and giving and getting little presents.
Q: What do you think about all the spinning?
If I were Topper, I’d be very dizzy!
A Christmas Carol Interview #3: John Seigh
Next is the interview with the kid’s grandfather John, or as they call him, Grumpy.
Q: Ok Grumpy, what is your opinion of A Christmas Carol?
I think it is one of literature’s most classic stories.
Q: What part do you play in A Christmas Carol presented by Fantasy Playhouse?
I play the bread baker Mr. Danbury.
Q: What do you think about your character, how does he relate to you?
He likes to bake, and I like to bake. But he is a widower, and I’ve been married for 35 years.
Q: So, what do YOU think of all the spinning in the play?
It brings joyousness and mirth into the play. Otherwise, people would just be walking around.
