Beer and bites blogs are a pretty popular fixture in areas where craft beer is king.
Well guess what? If you hadn’t noticed, craft beer is king around here too.
We decided to share a few of our favorite beer and bite combos. As we move into milder weather and the desire to get out of the house grows stronger and stronger, perhaps a few of these pairings will hit the spot.
5 Beer and Bites in Huntsville
#1. Anaheim Chile Southwestern Ceviche with Blue Pants Pils
- The Southwestern Ceviche is a fun dish of marinated shrimp with garlic, lime, cilantro and dried chiles that should make this Pilsner sing.
#2. Below the Radar Spinach Salad with Avondale Peach Spring Street Saison
- The spinach salad comes with toasted walnuts, goat cheese and parsnips! Have fun with a fruity pairing from Avondale Brewing Co., a Birmingham brewery.
#3. U.S. Space & Rocket Center Thursday Night Biergarten Warm Pretzel & Spicy Mustard with Straight to Ale Lily Flagg Milk Stout
- Dining with the rockets and enjoying a pretzel and beer? Yes please!
#4. Stem and Stein Charcuterie Board with Straight to Ale Sand Island Kolsch
- What is a Charcuterie Board? Good question! This one includes salami, pepperoni, summer sausage, pickled okra, olives, mustard, rye bread and crackers. All good stuff to hold up to the bitter Kolsch.
#5. Pizzelle’s and All the Beers!
- Chocolate and beer have long gone hand in hand. Pizzelle’s unique truffles pair well with beer. Our favorite: Steel Magnolia with it’s chicory-infused dark chocolate with Straight to Ale’s Brother Joseph.
