September is one of the most spectacular months in the Tennessee Valley. Not only is the weather amazing (other than today or course!!), but there are SO MANY awesome festivals right in our back yard.
From wine to beer and carnival rides, to art and more, we have 3 amazing festivals you don’t want to miss. And a heckuva list of honorable mentions!!
3 Amazing September Festivals – This Weekend!!
When: Thursday 9/14 – Sunday 9/17
Where: Redstone Arsenal Activity Field
How Much: $13 – $16 (depending on which day you attend), $20 for Craft Biergarten sessions.
This 4-day festival includes midway rides, carnival games, Biergarten and food. There will be polka music and, during the Saturday evening Biergarten session – dueling pianos! It’s going to be a fun year and it’s always a sign that Fall is (almost) here!
Tip: It’s a cash only festival. Come prepared!
When: September 16 – 17
Where: Monte Sano State Park
How Much: The festival is free but you need $10 per car to park
Art booths set along the winding paths of the Monte Sano State Park is just about the best way to shop for art, period. Welcome to the Monte Sano Art Festival now, thankfully, 2-days long. In addition to fantastic art, you will find food trucks, live music, art classes, kid’s activities and more!
Tip: This is a cash-bringing festival too, though some artists will accept credit cards. It’s just always easy when you have some of that green paper!
When: September 16
Where: Big Spring Park
How Much: $55 – $130, no tickets will be available at the door
It’s time to sip wine in the heart of Downtown Huntsville, as Big Spring Crush returns! Featuring 195 wines and your own commemorative wine glass by which to sample them! If you’ve never been, this is the year!
